This animation shows the most important aspects of my model. It displays the concepts of “unite & contrast”. This concept is shown through structural shape of the model in which it can be clearly observe the dependence of each space to the other and yet the difference in space, texture and structure between these. “Unite” is shown through structure equilibrium of the model that is the model would not be able to withstand or remain standing if we take a part of the structure away from it. It depends and relies on all the parts of its edifice. Moreover it is also through this dependence that the idea of contrast is display. The constant variation of space size as one goes from the above ground to the below ground is a clear contrasting aspect in which one goes from having a spacious room to move around to be limited and almost enclosed at the below ground.
Similarly to previous animation, the idea of “unite & contrast” is also represented in this animation. However this time is represented through more specific parts of the model. “Unite” this time is represented through the symmetry of the model which appears as a mirror reflection from the midpoint. Contrast this time is more clearly seen through stairs shape and size. As the above ground – gallery space are relatively thin and tight in walking space where it seems that only one person could use them at the time, whereas the gallery to below ground stairs in contrast are much more spacious.
